Presidential Campaign: Group Polarisation at Rallies

I don’t know whether or not you are following the elections in the US. Last week, there were reports of John McCain being booed at one of his own rallies when he stated that Obama was a decent man and that he would fight against him “with respect”. Today, Slate posted an article reflecting on theories of group polarisation in social psychology that try to explain this kind of behaviour. Take a look! P.S. Now I know why I am so, so liberal!
